"PushToStart" (pushtostart)

Am I the only one who thinks Ford really screwed up on the GT's steering wheel? Too many fucking buttons, it looks way too cluttered and disorganized.

minus the buttons, it looks like it belongs in a mustang GT.....
A 2001 mustang GT.
Really cheap looking (besides all the buttons). Could've thrown some CF or aluminum trim on it at least.

While we're at it, the seats don't look very comfortable.

bruh I F1 so hard, but there's a right way and a wrong way to put buttons on a steering wheel and Ford did it the wrong way.

kind of hard to tell about the seats. The old GT seats didn't look too comfortable either, but they're actually really nice.

If the street version uses the standard steering ratio this would be annoying, but I'll never own it so whatever.

You would think those giant grommets in the old GT would give you some sort of weird waffle-butt.

The entire interior looks too cheap for a supercar. Bring me an RS7 or 997 Turbo S instead.
See the buttons on the wheel? Exactly. A wheel is for driving and maybe volume controls... Not every damn function of the car.

lol, you'd think so but you can't actually feel them (unless you were sitting on the seat naked).

Porsche makes some of the best interiors you can currently buy, no doubt about it. Simple, uncluttered, and very driver-oriented.

Bingo. Same with Volvo (at least in the V70R).
The only buttons on the wheel are the volume, next track, and cruise control. The only ones you should need driving.
Redd, the RX-7 that could

Ford gets a pass on this steering wheel because it's not all just buttons, there's a knob on there too!

it's a stockless steering column. All of the controls just like Ferrary are on the steering wheel. All of the dark around the buttons is carbon fiber it just doesn't have a ton of lacquer on it. The whole car is carbon fiber for christ sakes. The wheel is wrapped in alcantara.

Bullshit. There are enough buttons on that center console to launch a rocket.

they literally could have just had "GT" in aluminum and it would've looked 10x better. The car is going to cost a nice chunk of money, might as well make it look as upscale as possible.

cars had less buttons on the steering wheel then the V 70 R is no longer relevant in this comparison this is a new Volvo with 14 buttons on the steering wheel

Most of those are still for the cruise control and volume/track. It's a good MMI design.

This is going to look so outdated within 10 years.

True, on a Panamera though. I was referring to their sports cars (911 and Cayman, mainly.)

I agree. It's probably a good car, but I don't think it'll be a classic like the previous GT is.

??? You posted two pictures of the same thing that I already posted (which shows how crowded and cluttered the GT's steering wheel is) and then say that we're "fools." What's your point?

Ferrari***
And not once did I say I had a problem with buttons on the wheel. My problem is that there's too many buttons, and they are cluttered and unorganized. Notice that on this Ferrari, they are neatly placed and don't appear to clutter the appearance of the wheel.

sorry more towards guy who said it belonged in a mustang gt and that there was no carbon. It's all carbon everywhere. Is a little cluttered.

I kind of like the whole late '80s, early '90s tone set by the entire interior. It's not straight pulled from that era, but it manages to create that same tone without necessarily also resorting to cheap plastics.

It is impossible for you to ruin it for me. The only way you could ruin it is by removing it and replacing it with any Porsche interior. But that wouldn't be ruining this interior, that would be ruining the GT90.

Don't worry, I can't bash the GT90 too much. It was my favorite car in NFS 2...
